Our Curriculum

The Harvest Lower School curriculum follows the framework of the Cambridge Lower Secondary year Programme. The Lower Secondary Programme is an excellent progression towards IGCSE. This is a 3 years combined programme where students develop knowledge, skills, concepts, and attitudes which are relevant, engaging and challenging across subject areas of science, math, English and Global Perceptive from Cambridge Curriculum and History, Geography, Music, Visual Arts and PE from National curriculum.

External benchmark

Cambridge Lower Secondary includes two testing options: Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Tests and Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint. These assessments provide an international benchmark of student achievement, helping teachers to identify learners’ strengths and weaknesses and give advice on progression routes. All students at grade 8 are assessed by Cambridge in Math, Science, English and ICT at this stage.

Digital Citizenship

Your child’s safety and good citizenship online is fostered through an age-appropriate classroom programme, delivered by School Digital Learning Teacher.

Your child will be encouraged to ask themselves five key questions when using their connective device in class:

  • I am safe
  • I am appropriate
  • I am on task
  • I am respectful
  • I am honest
